Our Founder & CEO Offers New Term, NS-MS, in The Analytical Scientist

Posted on 09.18.23

Our Founder & CEO, Daojing Wang, makes the case for a new term, native spray mass spectrometry (NS-MS), in his latest article for The Analytical Scientist.

In the article, he argues that this new term better reflects today’s lab environment, versus the original “Native MS” term coined in 2004. He also shares it could clear up the ambiguity around native MS and lead to its mainstream adoption.

From the piece:

“Clearly defining which step is native – and decoupling sample preparation, the electrospray process, and mass spectrometry – will promote NSMS technology developments and adoption by a wider group of both MS and non-MS communities.”
